LATE NIGHT DJ & CHILL : MINORI Craft Japanese Tavern Offers A New Weekend Hot Spot
(Honolulu, HI)— Minori Craft Japanese Tavern celebrated its grand opening less than two months ago but has already proven to be a hit with locals, convention-goers, and visitors. Now the Japanese izakaya (tavern) is shifting its focus on its late night and weekend offerings, including live DJ and happy hour specials.
Located at the former Tsukada Nojo space along Kalakaua Avenue (near the Hawaii Convention Center), “We’re fortunate to have garnered a loyal following so quickly,” says General Manager, Maki Sekiguchi. “Our goal is to be a place for all of our fans, including those looking for someplace that’s open and offering great food late in the night.”
Late Night Happy Hour specials kick in at 10:00 PM daily, featuring $3 beer, shochu at $3.50, and $5 house wine. Minori, or “harvest” in Japanese, is symbolic of the concept behind its name: a fresh approach to farm-to-table, with an emphasis on local farmers and produce. The restaurant features Aloha Tofu, Waimana TKG Eggs, and an all-you-can-eat salad bar by Ho Farms. Signature dishes also include bijin nabe, or “Beautifying hot pot,” recipient of the Hale Aina award for Best Hot, along with their popular White Bear and Matcha (green tea) Flan desserts.
