MAKE YOUR LEI AND EAT IT, TOO: The Cookie Corner Offers Cookie Lei-Making Classes in Waikiki

(Honolulu, HI)— The Cookie Corner, known throughout the islands as one of Hawaii’s most beloved and best cookie makers around, celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. The Cookie Corner is go-to for locals looking to gift cookies to friends and family on the neighboring islands, mainland and beyond.

One such favorite treat is the hand-dipped macadamia nut shortbread cookie—individually wrapped and perfect for creative gift-giving, party favors, and holidays. Now, this signature cookie collection is featured in the ultimate iteration of Hawaiiana gifting: the handmade lei.

Cookie Lei Making classes offered at The Cookie Corner’s two Waikiki locations are perfect for visitors, families with children, and “staycationing” locals looking for a unique, yet unexpected gift for loved ones. Class attendees are encouraged to choose from four variations of the shortbread cookies including dark chocolate-dipped, milk chocolate-dipped, white chocolate-dipped, and original shortbread.

Classes are offered at the Sheraton Waikiki location every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, and at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani location every Monday and Wednesday from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Classes are $14 per cookie lei or $25 for two lei. The cost will cover lei-making materials and a hard-plastic container (like a real lei!). Premade cookie lei are also available in Waikiki locations for those short on time.
