2012 Canon Amateur Photo Contest

YOUR SNAPSHOT COULD BE THE ONE!

(HONOLULU) Someone once said "a picture is worth a thousand words." Canon USA says it can be worth a $1,200 digital camera! Snap that winning photo and send it in to Canon USA's Hawaii office because they'd like to give away an exceptional EOS Rebel T2i Digital Camera! Canon USA are proud to announce their 16th Annual Canon Amateur Photo Contest with the theme, "Snapshots of Hawaii." The snapshot could capture a simple moment in time or sum up the beauty of a lifetime. Be creative! This competition challenges all local amateur photographers to submit their best snapshots of Hawaii!

The upcoming challenge begins on December 1, 2011 and runs until 5pm on February 29, 2012. Entries must be submitted via mail or walked in to Canon USA's local office in Honolulu. Pictures must be in print format with a maximum size of 5 by 8 inches and submitted by amateur photographers within the specified dates. In March 2012, each photo will be examined by a panel of judges for visual impact, technical skill, and keeping with this year's theme. Three of the best will win snazzy Canon cameras and 22 additional pictures will win Honorable Mentions. All 25 will be displayed at the Canon Photo Gallery in April 2012.

Winning contestants will receive the following prizes from Canon USA Hawaii:
1st Place Prize: Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera ($1200.00 value).
